The nurses at McMaster put together a beautiful, treasured box for James and I. In it, they put a number of items:
- A tiny baby blanket that Hayden was laid on after he was born.
- A measuring tape with his length marked on it.
- A beaded baby bracelet with his name on it.
- A beautiful card with his birth information written inside.
- The card, cut into a heart, that my midwife had put his hand prints on.
I added the tape of his heartbeat from my first midwife appointment.
